Prater Engineering is a strong proponent of sustainable design. The firm is a member of the U.S. Green Building Council and has several full LEED™ Accredited Professionals on staff.
At Prater Engineering, our sustainable design attempts to reduce the collective environmental impacts during the production of building components, during the construction phase, as well as during the lifecycle of our buildings. Our design practice considers efficiency of HVAC systems, reused or recycled building materials, on-site power generation, rainwater harvesting, and on-site waste management such as green roofs that filter and control stormwater runoff.
Prater Engineering is currently designing several LEED Certified building projects.
